LES RELATIONS ÉCOLE-ORGANISME COMMUNAUTAIRE EN CONTEXTE DE PLURIETHNICITÉ ET DE DÉFAVORISATION

Dans cet article, les auteures partagent une réflexion sur le nécessaire dialogue entre l’école et les ressources que sont les organismes communautaires, pour relever les défis de la réussite scolaire, notamment en contexte urbain, conjuguant pluriethnicité marquée et défavorisation. L’article fait référence à plusieurs recherches d’ici et d’ailleurs portant sur des enjeux scolaires, des recherches dans lesquelles le milieu communautaire est contextualisé ou évoqué par des parents, des élèves ou des enseignants. Des exemples d’activités et/ ou de projets communautaires ciblant les enfants-élèves sont présentés.
SCHOOL-COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION RELATIONS IN PLURI-ETHNIC AND UNDER-RESOURCED CONTEXTS
In this article, the authors reflect on the necessary dialogue between schools and community organizations to meet the challenges of academic achievement, particularly in pluri-ethnic and under-resourced urban contexts. The article refers to several studies on school issues – from here and elsewhere – in which community organizations are present as participant, research setting, or otherwise referred to by parents, students, or teachers in the study. This article presents examples of activities and/or projects by community organizations aimed at children-student.
