L’ANALYSE DES FILMS FREEDOM WRITERS, PRECIOUS ET DETACHMENT À PARTIR DE LA PÉDAGOGIE DE LA LIBÉRATION
Keywords:

ANALYSIS OF THE FILMS FREEDOM WRITERS, PRECIOUS, AND DETACHMENT FROM A PEDAGOGY OF LIBERATION PERSPECTIVE
Paulo Freire’s pedagogy subscribes to a critical perspective of education, which aims to liberate oppressed students via conscientization. We analyze three films on the basis of notions of emancipatory education and identify some elements of this pedagogy: the development of critical awareness, the dialogism, educational action based on student language; and textual and contextual reading. These films could be used as tools for initial and continuous teacher training to illustrate emancipatory practices in underprivileged schools.
