L’ÉTABLISSEMENT D’UNE RELATION MENTORALE DE QUALITÉ : À QUI LA RESPONSABILITÉ ?

RÉSUMÉ. De nombreuses recherches se sont intéressées au mentor et à sa contribution au succès de l’expérience mentorale; mais qu’en est-il de la responsabilité du mentoré ? Cet article explore les concepts d’accompagnement et de mentorat dans le monde professionnel en général, mais aussi dans le domaine de l’éducation, notamment chez les enseignants. Il propose par la suite une analyse des responsabilités des différents acteurs de la relation mentorale et s’intéresse particulièrement aux responsabilités relevant du mentoré. Des pistes de réflexion et de recherche seront également proposées.
ESTABLISHING A QUALITY MENTORING RELATIONSHIP: WHO HAS THE RESPONSIBILITY?
ABSTRACT. Many studies have focused on mentors and their contribution to the success of the mentoring experience; but what of the responsibilities of those benefitting from the mentorship? This article explores the concepts of coaching and mentoring in the professional world including the field of education, especially among teachers. It proposes an analysis of the responsibilities of those in the mentoring relationship and is particularly interested in the responsibilities of those being mentored. Areas for reflection and research are proposed.
