Keywords:

REFLECTIONS ON EDUCATION IN BENIN: IT’S AS IF FAILURE AND LOSS OF SCHOOLING OPPORTUNITIES ARE AT AN IMPASSE
This text provides an in-depth reflection on the failure and loss of schooling opportunities in rural Benin. It is the result of research on education failure and loss in rural settings. The latter was guided by daily life studies theory and methodology. To this end, an immersive study was carried out in the field of research with observations and semi-structured interviews. By extending the theoretical basis to historical-cultural perspectives, it emerges that the Beninese school must reinvent itself and adapt its functioning to the local socio-economic and cultural life in order to mitigate school failure and loss of opportunities.
