LE RÔLE DES DIRECTEURS D'ÉCOLE ET DES ENSEIGNANTS DANS L'IMPLICATION DES PARENTS AU MILIEU SCOLAIRE
Abstract
Parent participation has a positive impact on the child, the parents, and the school, but school principals and teachers have a significant role in the implementation of participation projects which can contribute to the integration ofparents in the school. This study, which was done to evaluate principals' needs and expectations of parent participation, was carried out with 1312 elementary school teachers and 181 school principals in 40 school boards in Quebec. The results compare perceptions of teachers and principals, and present differences between those in rural and semi-urban/urban areas. Downloads
