RÉSUMÉ. Cette étude vise à décrire les pratiques évaluatives d’enseignantes en langue seconde en fin de scolarité à l’école primaire au Québec. Elle a pour but de cerner la prise en compte des résultats à l’épreuve ministérielle et des résultats obtenus tout au cours du cycle lors du jugement porté au bilan des apprentissages. Deux études de cas serviront à documenter leur jugement professionnel face à la tension lors de la confrontation de résultats divergents.
DOCUMENTING SECOND LANGUAGE TEACHER JUDGEMENT IN ELEMENTARY CYCLE THREE WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE END-OF-CYCLE REPORT
ABSTRACT. The aim of this study is to describe second language teachers’ evaluation practices at the completion of elementary school in Quebec. The study compares results obtained from the Ministry evaluation process with results obtained throughout the cycle. Two case studies serve to document teachers’ professional judgment when confronted with differing results.
