SEEKING STRENGTH-BASED APPROACHES IN ABORIGINAL EDUCATION: THE "THREE STARS AND A WISH" PROJECT
Abstract
ABSTRACT. In a writing project, Aboriginal parents chose and told stories from their lives to their children, grade five students at an inner city school. The children recorded the stories, which were compiled in a book. At a public book launch, the authors read excerpts from their work. Themes from six stories are analyzed and discussed in relation to criteria that promote a strength-based approach to Aboriginal education. Downloads
