Abstract

This paper will consider, both from the theoretical and practical points of view, ways in which schools in both East and West, and in reasonably symmetrical development can reflect the uneasy "peace" of our day. At the same time, it will explore ways by which schools, through the establishment of an appropriate ethos or school climate, can contribute more fully to the building of stronger and more durable sets of interelationships within the community, within the nation and across international boundaries.
