Julia Ellis

Julia Ellis is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Elementary Education at the University of Alberta where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in reflective teaching, teaching as research, models of teaching, and curriculum theory. She is currently engaged in research on the development of preservice teachers' interpretive perspectives for teaching. Her recent work includes "Narrative inquiry with children: A generative form of preservice teacher research" in International Journal for Qualitative Studies in Education (forthcoming) and "'If I were a boy ... ': Constructing knowledge about gender issues in teacher education" in Curriculum Inquiry, 23(4) (forthcoming 1993).
Julia Ellis est professeur adjoint au département d'éducation primaire à l'Université d'Alberta où elle enseigne des cours de premier, deuxième et troisième cycles sur l'enseignement réflexif, l'enseignement comme méthode de recherche, les modèles d'enseignement et la théorie des programmes d'études.
