The MJE publishes three issues a year. Generally, two of those issues are regular issues for which we welcome submissions at all times. Founded in 1966, the MJE is a leading Canadian bilingual scholarly journal with a longstanding commitment to manuscripts published in English and French. The journal is primarily supported through SSHRC’s Aid to Scholarly Journals program. Hosted in McGill’s Faculty of Education with an editorial collaboration from Université de Montréal and Université du Québec à Montréal, the MJE is an open access generalist journal that publishes three times a year on a broad range of topics related to education..</p> <div class="page" title="Page 1"> <div class="layoutArea"> <div class="column"> <p>The Assistant/Associate English Editor/s will have the opportunity to work in close collaboration with the MJE editorial team as well as with the two Managing Editors. The Assistant/Associate Editors will share responsibility with the other English editors for manuscripts submitted in English. The Editors will also be an integral part of the editorial team, involved in shaping the overall intellectual direction of the journal and encouraging submissions nationally and internationally. Bilingualism (English and French), though not a requirement, would be a definite asset.</p> <div class="page" title="Page 1"> <div class="layoutArea"> <div class="column"> <p>The Editors may also be involved in organizing special issues and/or mini-special issues. The Editors will be actively engaged in outreach, encouraging authors to submit manuscripts to the journal; consulting with, as well as recommending international editorial board members; promoting the journal widely within the scholarly community as well as within educational communities; and contributing to SSHRC applications (e.g., SSHRC’s Aid for Scholarly Journals).</p> <p>The journal is looking for applicants willing to commit to at least a three-year editorship. The individuals should be fully proficient in the English language (spoken; read; written).
