The MJE publishes three issues a year. Generally, two of those issues are regular issues for which we welcome submissions at all times. We also publish special issues; calls for papers appear below.</p> en-US Appointment of new English Assistant Editors https://mje.mcgill.ca/announcement/view/191 <p>The <em>MJE/RSEM </em>is thrilled to welcome three new English Assistant Editors to our team! Find out more about them, including the wealth of experience they bring to their roles, from their biographies below. </p> <p><strong>Harrison Campbell</strong> is an Assistant Professor of Literacy Education at St. Mary’s University in Calgary, Alberta. His research uses drama-based pedagogies to better understand student literacy experiences. His research has been generously funded by The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and The Killam Trusts. His MA research titled Finding What is Real by Making Believe: Performing Student Literacy Experiences was even awarded the 2022 Arts Researchers &amp; Teachers Society Outstanding Publication Award. He has also been awarded a Teaching Excellence Award in the field of Literacy and English Language Arts Education at the Werklund School of Education at the University of Calgary in 2023.</p> <p><strong>Stephanie Ho</strong> is a course lecturer at McGill University and a practicing English Language Arts (ELA) teacher at a Montreal private school. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with a specialization in English Literature from The University of British Columbia, a Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning with a focus on ELA education from McGill, and a PhD in Educational Studies from McGill. Her research interests include qualitative research, arts-based pedagogies, critical pedagogies, and literature studies. Stephanie is also deeply passionate about art history and draws inspiration from her Montreal life, her time in Paris, and her hometown of Vancouver.</p> <p><strong>Joanne Pattison-Meek</strong> is an Associate Professor at Bishop’s University in the School of Education. Prior to joining Bishop’s in 2021, Joanne was a faculty member in the Master of Teaching Program at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto. Her current FRQSC-funded research examines ways classroom teachers support pluralist citizenship teaching and learning in rural school settings in Québec.
